How are you doing?

I was hoping to pop in here over the weekend and wish you a Happy Valentine's Day and a Happy Family Day (to my fellow Canadians here), but life took me on a different journey.

I was reminded (multiple times) that I can plan all I want, but that doesn't mean it will necessarily play out that way.

I love to plan...and I think it's important to have an idea of where you'd like to go, BUT to allow the plan to shape and grow because life might have something even better in mind...something you might not have thought of.

Sometimes the path twists in ways we don’t expect.

A door closes. Plans change. Heartbreak or setback arrives.

It’s okay to feel disappointed; that feeling is real and valid.

But remember...

Every detour contains a lesson, every setback seeds a new beginning.

Gently say “no” to one obligation that drains you and notice how your energy shifts.

You don’t need to justify it, just protect your time, your peace, and your momentum.

Small boundaries build bold change. Choose one, try it, and tell us how it feels.

How is your week going?

My week has been interesting...my kids had a Pro-D day on Monday, then we had the holiday on Tuesday (Remembrance Day)...and the rest of the week has kind of gotten away from me.

So here I am now!

This week's focus is Nourish.

I encourage you to choose one small act that replenishes you (a warm drink, a walk, 10 minutes of reading).

I feel like the last 3 days have been all about nourishing myself after having the kids home for 4 days straight 🙃

It's the first week of November!

I'm moving into this week with a heart full of gratitude...

This past weekend was full of fun, awesomeness and love.

On Saturday, I celebrated my birthday!!

It turned out to be a beautiful day here on the coast...the sun was shining!

It's the last week of October...a gentle reminder that endings and beginnings often share the same doorway.

• You’re allowed to be exactly where you are. Progress isn’t always visible; sometimes it’s quiet, steady work beneath the surface.

Every small choice you make to honour your needs, set a boundary, or forgive yourself builds the foundation of a life that feels true to you.

As I get ready to spend Thanksgiving weekend (here in Canada) with my husband and kids, I want to take a moment to let you know how grateful I am for each and every one of you here.

Even though we are a small community at the moment, I am so happy that you are here...and I'm looking forward to growing as a community and as individuals.

You are truly amazing...just as you are. Not fixing required.

I'm posting a bit late this week...

This has been a little weird/off over in my neck of the woods.

My mother-in-law was visiting us over the weekend and left on Tuesday.

Things are always slightly different when you’ve got visitors…and I planned for that. But what I didn’t plan for was my husband getting a head cold, then my daughter, and then waking up with a leaking living room ceiling this morning.

Honestly, I didn’t really feel like going into my office today…

Today, during my yoga practice, I received a beautiful reminder.

It's not always about winning something (doing something better than someone else) or gaining titles; it's about remembering that you are here for a reason and what you bring to this world is important!!

This message comes from a book I bought myself for my birthday last year. It's full of loving reminders.

It's one of the things I do daily to keep my thoughts positive and focused on what I want to feel and be.

In a world that’s constantly buzzing with notifications, emails, and to-do lists, it’s easy to get caught up in the hustle. But sometimes, the most productive thing we can do for ourselves—and our loved ones—is to unplug and take a step back.

Here’s the truth...life doesn’t wait for us to finish that next project, answer one more email, or tick off every box on our never-ending checklist.

Life is happening now. And it’s in those moments when we disconnect from the noise that we truly connect with what matters most.

This week, I’m doing just that. My kids are on Spring Break for the next two weeks, and I’m hitting the pause button on all the chaos to be fully present with them.

We’ll be trading screens for fresh air, deadlines for belly laughs, and routines for moments that turn into lifelong memories.

Living authentically takes courage, especially when you’ve spent years prioritizing everyone else’s needs over your own.

But here’s the thing about courage: it doesn’t have to be loud or bold. Sometimes, it’s as simple as whispering to yourself, “I deserve more.”

More time for yourself. More joy. More peace. More you.

If you’ve been waiting for the “right time” to focus on yourself, let me lovingly tell you: the right time is now. 

You don’t need the stars to align. You don’t need to check off every box on someone else’s list of expectations.

As February comes to an end and we more into a weekend and a new month, I just wanted to remind you that self-love doesn't always have to be this big thing you need to do or focus on or even change in your life.

Sometimes it's simply meeting yourself where you are.

Give yourself some love this week (and beyond!!)

You deserve it so very much.

I know I haven't been around for a bit...

The thing is I haven't been feeling like myself. My energy and mood have been really low.

This day can be challenging...remember it's about celebrating YOU! You are amazingly awesome!! And deserve so much love too!

This week started off a bit differently for me. I found myself in bed, with a really big headache that just wouldn’t go away.

It served as a wonderful reminder of the importance of slowing down.

My Week in Slow Motion

At first, I thought I could just power through it. But as the days passed and the headache seemed to get worse, I decided the only thing I could do was lay in bed and rest.

Spending all of Tuesday in bed wasn’t want I had planned for the day. I'm in the middle of a big project and my calendar was full of to-do's, but my body had other plans.

Today I woke up and didn't want to get out of bed...and the longer I stayed, the grumpier and crappier I felt.

I kept having negative thoughts go through my head...

I finally realized that none of that was helpful, yet it was still challenging to change it...

Then, I took it one step at a time...

Just get out of bed...

This week, my son has been learning about filling up his bucket at school...he's in grade 3!!

Every day after school, he asks, "Mom, did you fill up your bucket today?" and then continues to ask my daughter and husband the same thing.

I love the reminder because I've been putting more energy into my work, and the reminder to slow down and do a check-in with myself (and my energy level) has been needed.

One of the days, I asked him, "What happens if your bucket has holes in it?"

What an eye-opener that was...I realized I needed a shift in perspective and to find a better balance during the day.

This is so true. Yet, it can be challenging at times to actually do.

Take it one step at a time..start by noticing when you're saying negative things to yourself or putting yourself down.

Awareness is key to change...because we can't change what we don't see.

By taking this first step, you can become more aware of how you treat yourself...and then start taking steps to love and approve of yourself more.

And remember...it's about progress, NOT perfection.
