Simply Be As You Are, Where You Are

Today I woke up and didn't want to get out of bed...and the longer I stayed, the grumpier and crappier I felt.
I kept having negative thoughts go through my head...
I finally realized that none of that was helpful, yet it was still challenging to change it...
Then, I took it one step at a time...
Just get out of bed...
Get dressed, Brush my teeth, wash my face (by this point, I was on autopilot... because it's something I do every single day...my body took over.
Then I grabbed my yoga mat and began my yoga practice...really focusing on my ujjayi breathing.
I was still having negative thoughts racing through my mind...but I was moving through the feelings instead of sitting in them.
Any of these things would have been a win...even just getting out of bed!
Or if I didn't get out of bed, just noticing my thoughts...super win.
Begin where you are.
And every day can be different.
The night before, I went to bed super pumped for the day ahead. I meal prep yesterday, picked out my clothes and had a plan.
Then I had a crappy sleep...full of dreams that seemed to be shedding light on things that were happening during the day.
Embrace the day where you are and who you are today!
Life is a journey, a chance to learn more about who we are and teach us beautiful lessons along the way.
When I was lying in bed, I thought, how am I supposed to motivate and inspire you here in this community if I don't feel that way?
Well the thing is I'm not perfect, I'm also on my own beautiful journey.
No one's journey or life is perfect...
It's about showing up as who we are and loving ourselves so we can learn and grow along the way.
Everything is a lesson...
Today, I'm showing up perfectly imperfect as me!! I encourage you to do the same!
