When Life Gives You Lemons
I'm posting a bit late this week...
This has been a little weird/off over in my neck of the woods.
My mother-in-law was visiting us over the weekend and left on Tuesday.
Things are always slightly different when you’ve got visitors…and I planned for that. But what I didn’t plan for was my husband getting a head cold, then my daughter, and then waking up with a leaking living room ceiling this morning.
Honestly, I didn’t really feel like going into my office today…
But then I thought about it and realized that it was exactly what I needed.
Sure, my life felt a little…okay, A LOT off balance this week. I wasn’t even sure I was going to post in here today because I didn’t really feel motivated myself.
The thing is, when life gives you lemons or, in my case, a leaky ceiling, you can either curl up in bed and hope that it all just goes away, or you can try to look at the bright side. And if there isn’t a bright side, focus on another area in your life that is good.
For me, it’s getting into my office and taking time to connect with you here.
Today is the last day of July. Can you believe it?!
I decided to share August’s Meditation of the Month today! I’m also going to post about setting your monthly intention for August.
You might notice that they don’t go hand in hand.
The meditation focuses on being true to you, and the monthly intention is about giving yourself some grace over the summer.
I felt called to share both with you this month.
Depending on how your summer is going, you might need one more than the other…I know personally, I could use both.
