We all forget about self-care from time to time...including myself.
When life gets super-busy that's usually when we leave our self-care awesomeness behind...yet it's the one thing we need most that will help us get through the hustle and bustle.
Lean on it, love it...don't throw it aside. And if you have thrown it away - a day ago, a week ago, a month ago or even years ago - it's okay.
You can jump right back up on that self-care horse and start filling your cup right back up...trust me because I have been where you are right now...Over a decade ago I didn't even know what self-care was and doing anything for myself, well, that was selfish.
Fast-forward to now and wow, I couldn't imagine NOT taking time for me...not doing things I love, solely for the reason that they make me smile.
Do I make time for self-care everyday? No...I forget sometimes BUT and this is super-important...I notice when I've forgotten to make time for me...when I realize I'm out of alignment with myself and how I want to show up.
We are not perfect, so thinking that we are going to have a perfect self-care routine down 24/7 is silly-sauce if you ask me.

Here's the truth...not all self-care activities are equal. What I might find helpful might not fill you up...it's about doing what YOU love. And if you hate getting a massage, well that's not going to be a great self-care check for you.
