November's Monthly Intention

ree

Hello Be You! Community,

November is right around the corner...

I'll be celebrating my birthday over the weekend, so I wanted to make sure I posted November's Monthly Intention beforehand!!

November is your invitation to slow down, notice yourself, and practice the compassion you so freely give others.

Take a deep breath.

This month’s intention is simple and powerful...make space for your needs, your rest, your joy.

Weekly prompts to guide you:

  • Week 1 - Notice: Pause daily for 3 minutes. Ask, “What do I need right now?” No judgment, just listening.

  • Week 2 - Nourish: Choose one small act that replenishes you each day (a warm drink, a walk, 10 minutes of reading).

  • Week 3 - Boundaries: Gently say “no” to one obligation that drains you and notice how your energy shifts.

  • Week 4 - Celebrate: List three things you did this month that honoured you — big or small.

Share in the room...

What one small thing will you do this week or month to prove to yourself that you matter?

Post it and let the community cheer you on.

What to go even deeper?

Daily micro-practices (pick one each day)

  • Morning check-in: Before the day starts, name one feeling and one need. Breathe for 60 seconds.

  • Midday reset: Stand, stretch, and drink a glass of water with full attention.

  • Evening gratitude: Write one thing you did that honoured yourself today.

  • Micro-joy: Do a 2-minute pleasure break (listen to a favourite song, sniff a scent you love, step outside).

  • Self-compassion mantra: When self-criticism shows up, repeat: “I am doing my best. That is enough.”

Journal prompts to reflect deeper

  • What does “You matter too” mean to me right now?

  • Where in my life do I consistently put myself last? What is one small shift I can try?

  • Which boundary would protect my energy this month? How will I practice it?

  • What past accomplishment reminds me I’m capable of caring for myself?

  • How will I celebrate my progress at the end of November?

Quick guided practice (2–3 minutes)

  • Sit comfortably. Place one hand over your heart.

  • Inhale for 4 counts, hold 2, exhale 6, three rounds.

  • Silently say: “I matter. I am allowed to rest. I am worthy of care.”

  • Open your eyes and notice any change in the body.

You don’t need grand gestures to prove you matter. Consistent small choices honouring a need, saying no kindly, pausing to breathe, build a life where you feel seen and sustained.

This November, let the community hold you as you practice making yourself a priority.

What’s one micro-practice you’ll try today?

Share it here and let us cheer you on.
